A retired British Officer, Dave Mitchell, bought his Nokia 3310 phone 17 years ago and since then it has been with him. The phone has gone through various conditions, but still, it has survived and proved itself as indestructible.
Dave Mitchell, who took the trusty handset on military tours of Iraq and Afghanistan, says it is indestructible and only needs charging once every ten days, reports Dailymail.
Dailymail also reports, The 49-year-old claims the phone has been put through the washing machine, stamped on and submerged in curry sauce – but is still in perfect working order.
After all this also, the Nokia 3310 is still working absolutely fine and Dave Mitchell loves his phone and he has no plans for exchanging it. Dave Mitchell’s family has also insisted him to upgrade his phone many times, but he still keeps using it. He doesn’t care about the jokes the society makes. This may be the oldest phone in the country!
“Mr Mitchell served in the Army for 29 years, completing several tours of the Middle East, including Iraq and Afghanistan, before moving into administration.
When he left in 2010 he put his phone away in a drawer and did not touch it several years. “
Where Nokia is launching its new Smartphones with some great features, some are happy with Nokia’s old phones only.
